On December 5, 2014, at 6 PM, Home for an Hour the gallery exhibition went live at Phillips Gallery in Salt Lake City, as did the book, and Flying Bobcat Theatrical Laboratory’s live performance. It was gallery stroll, and lots and lots of folks strolled through. The performance was definitely the highlight, that and actually receiving the books in time for the show (barely). Flying Bobcat did performed an hour-long adaptation of their own devising twice; in the back of the gallery’s delivery van. Each performance was broken into four scenes, and for each scene, two attendees, seated in the van’s front seats, constituted the audience. Of course, many more people watched what they could through the van’s windshield and on the spotty video feed into the gallery.
The images that follow are of the art hung in the gallery, and the van.
